of all the trees . . .



. . . that grow in Brooklyn, this particular weeping beech 
is my absolute fave. In fact, I've shown it to you before.

  3. I’m a sucker for weeping varieties: Weeping willows, weeping cherry trees, weeping Japanese maples. I had never known of weeping beeches before you showed us this one, Alexa, and I am mighty impressed. Weeping stuff just gets to me every time.

  4. There was a beautiful weeping willow in my grandmother's yard that I loved to play under when I was little. When I was feeling evil, I used the thin branches as a whip.
