to this stoop sale (one of many these days) in the neighborhood. They had some good stuff, but I resisted. Still have all my records, but unfortunately I no longer have a turntable! How about you?
Kept all our records AND turntable. Even use it from time to time. Ah! the nostalgic sound of the scratching of the needle on the vinyl !! It is almost as evocative as the cough or seats noises in a live recorded classical concert !!!
I don't want to talk about it... {oh all right, if I must...} I sold/gave away my records and turntable around a decade ago. I thought it would become too irksome to maintain. Some days I feel sentimental for them, and loved the sound of them ~ oh well, c'est la vie.
I went to our school's garage ssale today...bought a couple of things I didn't need. I do have some LPs AND I still have a record player, but haven't listened to them in ages. I've now got most of them on cds.
yep, no turntable either! but of course I still have all my records.

ReplyDeleteWhat I miss most is the album cover art.
ReplyDeleteHahahahahaha!
ReplyDeleteOoh, ooh, can I be the redhead?
You ARE the redhead, Shell.
ReplyDelete{Aw, I wish, TG. Mum's a redhead - I'm more of a tortoiseshell unless I give it some gentle persuasion. :) }
