to this stoop sale (one of many these days)
in the neighborhood. They had some good
stuff, but I resisted. Still have all my records,
but unfortunately I no longer have a turntable!

Ah! the nostalgic sound of the scratching of the needle on the vinyl !!
It is almost as evocative as the cough or seats noises in a live recorded classical concert !!!
I don't want to talk about it... {oh all right, if I must...} I sold/gave away my records and turntable around a decade ago. I thought it would become too irksome to maintain. Some days I feel sentimental for them, and loved the sound of them ~ oh well, c'est la vie.
ReplyDeleteI went to our school's garage ssale today...bought a couple of things I didn't need. I do have some LPs AND I still have a record player, but haven't listened to them in ages. I've now got most of them on cds.
