Took this of the Mediterranean from one of the hiking trails in the Cinque Terre, in Italy. The not-too-tough trail got treacherous when the skies finally opened up—those rocks are definitely slippery when wet!
I always found this interesting: a deep blue sky, bright, without clouds, that's nice because it means nice weather most of the time but,in fact, that's ...just blue sky ! But a "tortured" sky, with clouds, smoke, pollution, sometimes rain...is WOW !!!!!!!!!!!! Just like yours, Alexa ! Bravo !!
Thanks, all! Marylene -- a "tortured" sky is the perfect description. Truly, you speak English like a champ! Shell -- yes, this is what I always refer to as a "hand of God" sky. L and V -- not brave. Had no choice. (Unless I wanted to spend the night on the cliffs!)

As Marylène says, Bravo, Alexa! This is breathtaking. I can almost imagine the finger of God pointing down through the clouds ...
ReplyDeleteAnd when we go to Italy again someday, I'll be putting Cinque Terre on 'the list'. It will give us a great excuse to eat more pasta.
This photo is nothing short of brilliant! Wow.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend
