pensive bride

Is she getting cold feet?
No, see—she's perfectly happy on her big day.
But speaking of feet, I predict she'll
jettison those high heels ASAP!

  1. And she will be able to maintain that smile all through her marriage if she remembers why she is so happy here—there is no groom in sight.

With that tree in such radiant bloom (as is the bride’s face) your photo makes us feel that she is embarking on that connubial journey from an auspicious departure point. Nice park, that BBG.

  2. This is indeed a place I need to visit on my next trip to New York !
I suppose it is a beautiful sight any time of year !

  3. Very nice candid shots! Yep, I'll bet she'll even be dancing sans shoes later on.

  4. TG, you crack me up!

If you're going to do it, this is a gorgeous spot for it. Lovely series of pics, Alexa. And my word verification is 'innings', so let's hope they have a long and happy one.

  6. Actually, the last wedding I atended took place here—they have a beautiful glass winter garden (which also was the venue for my kids' high school graduation). If I was ever going to do it again (not bloody likely), this just might be the spot.
I wouldn't have taken you for such a cynic, TG—let's hope she hangs onto the groom much longer than she's likely to be wearing the shoes (p.s., she was maybe 4'11", even with those heels).

  7. TG: by George, I think you've got it!

Alexa: I love your line about not bloody likely! Never say bloody never!
