* which is the Japanese tradition of viewing and cherishing each moment of the cherry blossom season. Had to show you the cherry blossoms in the botanic garden in their full glory. Here's a time-lapse video of last year's bloom.
Just when I thought the cherry-blossom viewing season was over...
Is there a Sakura Festival at BBG this year?
At first I thought the one in pink here somehow might have been Shell. Then I realized that the one in pink was too tall. Just joking. Hey, if I didn’t find less than Amazonianly statuesque women copacetic would I choose to live in Japan for 15 years?
I just love cherry blossoms. Cherishing every moment is good advice. See Subang Jaya's posting today to see a beautiful nursery and to read an even more beautiful letter that recalls your post.
TG -- Shell is awfully cute, isn't she? Yes, there was a Sakura festival this past weekend—by which time the cherry blossoms were slightly past this prime time (took this midweek). Lots of fun, music, food —though supposedly their idea of a "Japanese dessert" was cherry pie.
Shell -- LOL!
Bibi -- went to the Subang Jaya blog—beautiful. Thanks!
Love this view and the video !
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing all this beauty with us.

How spectacular, Alexa! And thanks for the link to that video - also lovely.
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of cherry blossoms. {That's the last time I drink too much sake and wander backstage during a Japanese school concert...}
