To me, this looks more like some watering hole in Texas or Arkansas than smack in the middle of Manhattan. In fact, it's the Hog Pit, where the ribs are juicy and the collard greens are sweet. If you didn't know it, New Yorkers love their BBQ!
This must be bbq time of the year. Chuck in Seattle made my mouth water the other day when he posted a bbq place, and now you! Last night I made hot wings....
This place looks like somewhere I'd stop next time.
Nice and quiet place. But maybe the crowd of New Yorkers was gathering behind you !! I love ribs and BBQ but have no clue about collard greens ...

It looks like the Roadkill Cafe (poster on wall) isn’t wanting for clientele.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a place built for comfort rather than speed, Alexa. :)
ReplyDeleteWho doesn't love BBQ?
ReplyDeleteHey, that looked exactly like a bar in Bangor, Maine. :-)
Oh God.....looks like Jocko's out here in Nipomo California.
ReplyDeleteIf you want some good ol' boy Santa Maria style bbq..that's where you go..
I must admit..I've seen some pretty good bar fights in there...and the steaks are THE BEST !
