Welcome to the Middle East

East Brooklyn, that is.  These shots were
taken on Atlantic Avenue, the place to go
for Middle Eastern food, etc. in Brooklyn.

  1. Alexa, even with that many clocks, I'm sure I would barely make it on time to the "Fertile Crescent." I am, however, interested in the meaning of the name. Can you explain it? ;-) I'm sure it would be a fascinating place to check out.

You have a good Saturday! I've a morning gig in our farmer's market, so I must get some sleep(back to back gigs kill me)...we're also playing pregame to our university's football game tomorrow. Ciao for now!

  2. coltrane -- the Fertile Crescent extends in a quarter-moon shape from the eastern shore of the Mediterranean to the Persian Gulf, and includes the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. Here's a map.
And this is what halal means, if you didn't know.
Hope you enjoyed your morning gig. My bro is doing 3 gigs today—the Lone Sharks are playing with
Sleepy LaBeef, possibly in a hurricane.

  3. I used to work near downtown Brooklyn and visited Sahadi's frequently.
