New York at Night (5)

These beautiful old globe lamps belong to the
New Victory Theater, on 42nd Street just
off Times Square. And right across the street,
our all-time favorite nanny (and king of the jungle).
When I think about what this block used to
be like—a total sleaze fest—what a turnaround!

  2. I am so embarrassed. I don’t think I should ever let on just how large a role Mary Poppins has had in my own “Dominatrix Fantasy.”

  3. Now I'm humming 'A spoonful of sugar...' Believe it or not, I never saw The Lion King....

This photo makes me 'feel' New York.

I like your new photo; tres chic--sorry--no accent grave.

  5. Ahh...memories of my childhood (teenhood)...Mary Poppins. I loved that movie even at the sophisticated age of 13.

As I recall, one of the mayors of NYC had a large part in cleaning up that part of the city...can't remember his name.

  6. Careful, TG -- we might believe you!
That was Giuliani. Couldn't stand the guy, but I'll give him credit for this very successful cleanup.
