Back in the garden, there are at least a
couple of things in bloom: the crocuses (croci?)
and this: Chinese witch hazel. Here's
where I really wish we had the Internet
version of "smellovision," because these yellow
blooms smell amazing! What's your favorite fragrance?

Beautiful shot Alexa! reminds me of the light in Eric's photo today.
ReplyDeleteJapanese Cherry Blossom - from that bath shop I always forget the name of!
PS
ReplyDeleteI love your new photo!
Thanks, Lily (it's a new photo for a new season).
ReplyDeleteI concur with Lily. Nice new photo. Woo hoo!
ReplyDeleteI once had a heliotrope plant with a fragrance I liked. But for sheer appeal I don’t think it could match your Chinese witch hazel. Any problems with poaching?
Oh wow, yes, I love your new photo, Alexa! I'm glad you chose that over the balancing eggs, as impressive as they are. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd this is a pretty tree. I don't know if I can choose a fave fragrance, but jasmine and mock orange are up there...
I didn't know what these were called; thanks!
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say that, as flowers go, I love the scent of lilacs.
Great way how nature can perfume the surroundings and the whole world.
ReplyDeleteHi Alex, great job. Looks so fine, the day brings so light with this photo. Anyway, My daffodils entry.
