Shadow Shot Sunday

I saw this hardworking cleric at the
church of Santa Maria Sopra Minerva, in
Rome (built circa 1250), so-called
because it was constructed over the ruins
of a temple to Minerva, goddess
of wisdom (and that temple was built
by Pompey in 50 BCE).

  1. You've made an inspired choice for a Sunday, Alexa. That's a wonderfully clear shadow, and those massive doors are spectacular.

  7. Thanks, guys! For some reason when I go to Italy I always come home with dozens of pix of priests and nuns. They're just so photogenic somehow.
