terrace envy

Yes, must admit I do suffer from it—
especially when it's a terrace as
fabulous as this beauty way up high
in the West Village.   Sigh.

  1. I am "morte de jalousie" !!
As I say on my profile, I love to walk on the streets, le nez en l'air (quite dangerous !!).
So I am glad that no skyscrapers in Paris , so I can see the top of the buildins : balconies, terraces, sometimes gardens, not so amazing as your "gloriette" though !!
Today is Sunday, confession day (for catholics, of course), so my other sin : sneaking through open porchs to get a glimpse of the inside of the courtyards !! It is bad, I know, but it is so good too !!!

  2. Marylene -- I'm Catholic too, and I always sneak a peek into the courtyards and gardens of others. I don't think that's a sin at all—just normal curiosity. However, the envy I feel is definitely worth confessing!

  3. That's something else! It goes to show that one can create a little wonderland with potted plants and so on - even if one can't extend to a stupendously gorgeous glass conservatory. Sigh.

  4. And might I add, the gorgeous conservatory happens to be a Pointy-topped Doo-dad, n'est-ce pas?

  6. Shell -- yes, it is!

kenju -- I wonder who lives there too. But you can hardly walk one block in that neighborhood without encountering 12 or 14 "celebrities," so I'm guessing I would recognize the name of the owner if I heard it.

  8. The building itself is impressive. Living there must cost a pretty penny!
