Last Saturday I was promised a private
fireworks show in Virginia to rival the Macy's
extravaganza here in NYC.
Well . . . it came pretty darn close! And not
for nuthin', I didn't have to take the
subway and fight the crowds to enjoy it
—and the Macy's show never provides me with
fabulous food and drink and the company of such FUN people.
I know exactly what you mean Alexa, I got to spend a 4th of July once in Vermont watching fireworks over a meadow. I'll never forget it.
ReplyDeleteIt seems you had a lot to watch for there. Great private show!
ReplyDeleteLucky you ! If I want to see fireworks on 14th of July, I'll have to go and see the official one of my village !!!!
ReplyDeleteWait a moment... it will take place in a meadow too just in front of an old caslte .... not so bad ! Still I'll have to bring my own drink and company !!!
That's an excellent shot you got there!
ReplyDeleteQuite a creative shot there!
ReplyDeleteA bit disturbing, but you may wish to check my post named Height of Cruelty to know where these crackers came from.
No offense. The photograph is indeed beautiful :)
Great shot, very artistic looking.
ReplyDeleteOoooooooooh. {I was hoping you'd show us your private fireworks party - thanks, Alexa!}
ReplyDeleteMarylène, sounds like you have a gorgeous 14th July celebration around the corner.
Love the contrails in this shot. As if they were left by colorful jets. I especially love the composition of this snap. Happy SWF!
ReplyDeleteThanks, all!
ReplyDeleteMarylene -- I so wish I could see the fireworks in your village on the 14 juillet!
your fireworks pictures from this event are much better than mine....
