abc wednesday - Z is for "zucchini blossoms"

These were for sale at the Mercato Centrale,
in Florence. Some people like them stuffed with
rice or ricotta cheese. I prefer them on
their own, dipped in a light batter, fried, then
sprinkled with a tiny bit of sugar.
How about you?

  1. Will I dare to confess that I have never tried them ? It is typically a Mediterranean dish and zucchini blossoms are seldom sold around my place. But now, with all your recipes, I'll look more intensely for them !!

  2. Yummy. We don't get them here, but when visiting the Med, I have them. We call zucchini courgette here. Thanks from the team for being in this week,

  3. Marylène has emboldened me to make a similar confession. :) I'm quite intrigued by them though, so must try them. I love the touch of Italy too, Alexa.

  4. Must confess myself—they are very difficult to find here too. I just eat my fill (and then some) whenever I'm in Italy, then crave them until I can get back there.
