Shadow Shot Sunday

Can't believe it's already the middle
of September.  We may have a few
decent beach days left (I hope), but
meanwhile here's something I found
on the beach at Montauk—to me it
looks like modern art.

  1. I love that kind of beach scene, all kinds of interesting stuff on the sand.

  3. Haha! Yes it does look a little like modern art. I can picture it in a gallery somewhere! Nice shot!

  4. It does look like modern art, Alexa. I can see this as a luscious oil painting, people scratching their heads as they look at it and wonder whether it really is a painting or a photograph. {Beautiful shadow too!}

  6. What a lovely shadow shadow shot! Love your composition! And, yes, our fun, sunny days at the beach are about at an end here, too.

    Enjoy what's left of the summer!

  7. That's a wonderful shot...and I would rather "see" the jelly fish than "feel" it!

  9. That is a spectacular photo. I love the seaweed framing the photo on the bottom right.

    And I think that clear blob is/was a jellyfish, right?

  10. cool SS Alexa!
    We do have beach days left, I reluctantly went yesterday thinking it was too cold and it was warmer at the beach than it was inland! Plus, the water was very warm! A nice surprise.

  11. Am envious with the beachy word. We don't have a decent summer this yr and now fall is on the air.

    Enjoy the last days of summer.
