This shot was taken in my "backyard,"
the Brooklyn Botanic Garden—I feel so
fortunate to have this beautiful oasis
just a few short blocks from my place!
(And the $40 yearly membership is the
best money I spent all year!)
Now, can anyone tell me what this
flower is? (Almost everything at the
BBG is labelled—almost).

Um. Err. Sorry - no idea, Alexa. How lovely to have the BBG nearby ~ almost like friends with benefits in a botanical kind of way. ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bloom about to open up... prefectly twisted... Great photo!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a twisted blossom like this! I'll be checking back to see if anyone knows.
ReplyDeleteGreat twisted bloom. I was reading your text to find out what it is, so I'm no help there lol
ReplyDeleteLooks like it could be a hybiscus bloom. But I'm not sure. I love the way that the little one is twisted so tightly too. Great picture! And you're lucky to have such a wonderful "backyard" Mine is all desert!
ReplyDeleteIf you'd like to stop by my blog I'm at Cake Crumbs.
