I DO love gondolas (and goldoliers)! But I won't pay those big euros for what is—let's face it—just a boat ride (albeit in Venice, but you're still in Venice whether you ride in the gondola or not). Exception: If I was a bride in Venice, I'd absolutely arrive at and depart from the church in a gondola.
Never took a gondola ride in Vencei, but I think the rain would not deter me.
ReplyDeleteBibi -- skip it—too expensive! To get the experience (but like the locals), I take the traghetto across the Grand Canal (and—almost always—standing).
ReplyDeleteI was about to say that I'd do it but now that I've seen your tip, Alexa, I'll take your advice. Traghetto, duly noted. :)
ReplyDeletewell, I'd try it, given the chance.
ReplyDeleteLove the photo. I'd like to try it one of these days.
ReplyDeleteYou don't like gondolas? I'd love to take a ride in one!
