Rome at Night

This town is surprisingly quiet at night (but,
of course, everything is relative—and
I live in the city that never sleeps).

Photo Hunt meme.  See more here.]

  1. this reminds me of a scene in a movie that of course I can't remember the name of!
at the end, the guy goes and gets the girl at a restaurant she is working in, proposes to her in front of everyone and then carries her down steps just like these with the entire restaurant staff & her family following them.

  2. This does look very restful!

I wish I could help with the name of the movie, Lily, but I'm drawing a blank. Sounds lovely, though!

  3. Lily -- Is it Love Actually (Colin Firth learns Portuguese and goes back to France to propose to his housekeeper)?

  4. This photo is so evocative. I feel I could walk up around the corner and find a cozy cafe. . . or any sort of adventure.

    Nice pick for the theme.

  5. This must have been a great break from the busyness of your home city. You've captured it well.
