Visited VMI (Virginia Military Institute), in Lexington, Va., recently. The houses of the commandant and other bigwigs are all designed (like this one) to resemble a fort. I found it a tad bizarre—but love those shadows! [You can see more shadows here.] |
Excellent capture of the shadows, Alexa. «Louis» would have taken this shot, too!
ReplyDeleteYes, it is odd to live in a fort when you're in the military, I think, but it IS a cool shot. (shot, ha, boom)
ReplyDeleteIt is odd but I love the shape of the tree shadow. It resembles a big creepy hand enclosing the building to carry it away. Or did I just get carried away? Don't mind me. Carry on! ;)
ReplyDeleteHave yourself a great week alexa!
I guess I'm a little odd, 'cause I think the architecture is awesome as is your captured shadow.

Hope your day is a happy one.
Beautiful shadow and I love the house.
ReplyDeleteYou make a great shadow shot...See you.
ReplyDeleteThat's a really interesting house! And a great shadow!
ReplyDeletethis is so neat - it's almost spooky, like the tree is about to take over the building. maybe i've seen too many movies. either way - love it!
ReplyDeleteYou were at the right place at the right time of day to get quite an interesting photo. I'm with you on the "don't leave home without it" reference to your camera. You never know what you might come across. Be prepared!
ReplyDeleteI agree, a bit bizarre, but fun to look at, especially with these very cool shadows.
ReplyDeleteThanks Alexa.
