I'm still a meat-eater, but I realized as I watched these cute butchers (at Eataly) do their thing: If I stood here long enough, it very well might turn me into a vegetarian. |
If that should happen, I can still find a couple of things here that fit the category. (BTW, I bought some of these breadsticks: in a word—delizioso!) |

The Butcher, the Baker the Candlestick Maker...
ReplyDeleteYou can't get any fresher meat than that! I'll take a steak! Medium rare.
I know what you mean. Sometimes when I walk into a butcher shop and have to wait, the smell gets to me. I don't eat much red meat.
ReplyDeletethat's why most Americans are arm's length from their food. a great point.

Great shot, but I have a hard time with the smells of the Butcher shop myself. I have to say that a nice steak sounds pretty good though.
ReplyDeleteI like some porter house steak myself. medium rare please!!!
ReplyDeleteVisiting you from ABC Wednesday. Following your blog too. I hope you can return the favor.

ReplyDeleteI agree about the meat. I will however have some breadsticks. They look crispy and tasty!

Bring it all on! Oh, and I'll have some of the vinegar to go, and bien sûr, the breadsticks!

Where's the Beef? Why, it's right there.
ReplyDeleteIt's easier if you just imagine steaks and roasts all growing on a beef-tree somewhere, being hand picked and wrapped and shipped direct to the freezer section.
Great B Post! On behalf of the ABC Wednesday team, thank you for participating. We are off to a great start this round, and hope to see you back each week.
Thanks, all! And, Troy, count on it! (I admit i do prefer it when my meat is not too "recognizable.")
