abc wednesday —G is for "glasses"

How can you tell it's a "spare no expense" affair?
Count the glasses!  This was the fabulous Indian
wedding of friends up in Boston, where the groom's
younger brother gave a heartfelt speech that began,
"Welcome to what was supposed to be my
grad-school education." (Yes, he was kidding—I think.)

  2. Ha about the speech opening. Here no one would ever think of using anything but real glasses, china, tablecloths, and tableware. I was always surprised in the US to see weddings with less costly versions.

  6. Remember Maurice Chevalier singing:
    "Trinque, trinque, vieux copain.
Dans ton verre et dans le mien."
    Salut!
