Shadow Shot Sunday

This is in the Castellani Chapel in the Santa Croce
church in Florence, where so much art
was damaged in the 1966 flood.  Believe this
crucifix was spared though. It's attributed to the school
of Giotto—and casts a pretty dramatic shadow.

[You can see more Shadow Shots here.]

  1. Somehow my life feels more complete after catching up here Alexa!
I love your beautiful shadow shot.
& riding a bike around Governor's island? That sounds like so much fun!

  2. Alexa, what a beautiful piece of art and the shadow enhances the focus.

  3. It IS a powerful shot, almost like something large and black is holding up the cross.

Thanks, merci, grazie, danke, hvala, gracias, spasibo, shukran, dhanyavaad, salamat, arigato, and muito obrigado for your much-appreciated comments.
