mellow Yellow Monday

I just hope that whoever is in this ambulance
doesn't wind up on the island in the
background—that's San Michele, Venice's
cemetery island.

  1. I don’t know. It looks as good as any cemetery to wind up in. But of course, that is for the little people (thanks Leona). You and I, and all the other The Road is Mine visitors will live forever!

There does seem to be some temporary hope found here in your photo though. Otherwise wouldn’t the ambulance be making a beeline straight to the island?

  2. The ambulance is not the traditional white and red cross?

  3. Some things can't help sounding jovial in Italian. "Ambulanza" almost sounds like there's a party they are in a hurry to get to.

  4. Great shot - rushing off to save someone?

  5. Island cemetery...never thought of that before, but then I clicked on your link. Makes sense.

    Clever photo!

  6. An interesting shot and I am guessing the ambulance boat is yellow so it stands out?
