This picture was actually taken many,
many years ago, in Antigua. It didn't take as
much nerve as you think (in fact it's
taking more now to show those
un-pedicured toes). Rather than risk finding
him in the bed later, we emptied an entire
can of bug killer on this poor arachnid—
this is his post mortem.
(And, yes, I'm sorry now to have done that.)

It's a tough call with humungous, scary spiders, Alexa. I understand your instincts!!
ReplyDeleteI would have done the same and now would feel equally as guilty. I'd net him now, and dump him outside...and lock the doors! Great photo, nails and all.
ReplyDeleteI think I would have done the same ... and now would probably capture him, and released him back to the wild. Great shot! Cute toes :=}
ReplyDeleteThis is a pretty funny photo!
ReplyDelete& your toes are quite cute.
I'm not sure what I would have done. It's hard for me to kill giant bugs, but in this case I may have dropped the book on him!
I have a really hard time with spiders that big. If they stay outside, that's fine, but indoors -- arachnophobia!
ReplyDeleteEeeek! That's a big & hairy scary looking spider! I don't blame you re the bug spray. I wouldn't like to find him crawling around in my bed either!
ReplyDeleteLOL! RIP. Cool shot, though. ;-)
ReplyDeletePaz

ReplyDeleteoh...take it away. Scared of this creatures!
