They don't take a lot of chances in this neck
of our woods. Took these two shots on
Martin Luther King Day, when pretty much
no one was at work down here in the
Financial District.  Even so, just try to get
anywhere near the Stock Exchange in a vehicle. Don't
actually know what's on the streets where
they've put up these barriers—but I'll just trust their
judgement and figure better safe than sorry.

[Find more shots from That's My World Tuesday here.]

  1. Crazy world we live in sometimes. At least they are watching out for us.

  2. Guess that's a commentary on the world we live in these days. Glad for the protection, sad that it's necessary! Have a great week!

  3. That vehicle would encourage me to take a wide berth, that's for sure.

  4. This van will be added to the list of 'vans you don't want to see outside your house'!

    Great capture.

  5. Sad that a very few can wreak so much terror for so many!

  6. Despite the heavy security presence, I still miss NYC.

Thanks, merci, grazie, danke, hvala, gracias, spasibo, shukran, dhanyavaad, salamat, arigato, and muito obrigado for your much-appreciated comments.
