This is just one of the houses of worship
in Brooklyn, which is known as "the
borough of churches." Maybe that's
because there are almost 700 of them
in its 71 square miles. (BTW, as far as
I can tell, the largest number are Baptist
churches—shades of the South.)

That's a lovely steeple and sky, and that certainly is a great number of churches per square mile.
ReplyDeleteIs it just me, or is that church - err - glowing? And the sky is very biblical looking! {In contrast, I grew up in a town with a pub on every corner...}
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a lot. Nice shot!

That is lovely. The sky is so familiar! Did you shoot it this morning?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bibi and Mike!
ReplyDeleteShell -- you're right. It DOES look like it's glowing. That's a bit Twilight Zone-y. As for your hometown: pub, church—what's the diff, really? They serve wine at the church I (occasionally) go to.
neat shot Alexa! I had no idea there were so many churches in Brooklyn. Very interesting.
