I'm feeling a bit nostalgic for my
once-upon-a-time home these days,
so here's an image of where I'd like
to be right now. Those of you who
visit Paris Daily Photo may recognize
Eric's famous perspective here (though
I took this shot long before I discovered
his wonderful blog).

I love being the first to say, this is beautiful! & I totally sympathize with your nostalgia. I don't think I will ever get over Italy. I think I seriously need to spend at least a year of my life there!
ReplyDeleteBut, I think I owe it to myself to see Paris first, then London and then I will go back to Italia. A girl can dream...
What a great perspective !!
ReplyDeleteBut how did you manage to shot it without scaffoldings ? It happens once every 30 years !!! LOL !!
And it is happening right now !
This perspective looks good on you. :) What a beautiful photo. I've been sensing your nostalgia for Paris, Alexa.
ReplyDeleteNot only did you get it w/o the scaffoldings, but you got it before they put up those anti-suicide nets or whatever between the towers. Or maybe they were to keep Philip Petit away...again.
ReplyDeleteI am reading Pillars of the Earth again, and have this burning desire to sit for hours in Notre-Dame. When I first came to Paris, the cathedral hadn't been cleaned yet, and was nearly black.
Oh! did this bring back wonderful memories of my trip to Paris! Such a gorgeous place! It was so great being able to see Notre Dame for real! Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Sylvia
N is for "NICE!"
ReplyDeleteIt's been a long time since I was there and it would be wonderful to return. A beautiful photo!
ReplyDeleteThere's a lovely Notre Dame that I visited in Montreal, but ain't nothin' like the original.
ReplyDeleteIncredibly beautiful against such a blue sky. I saw Notre Dame about 50 years ago, but I don't remember such gleaming beauty.
ReplyDeleteOn behalf of the Team, thanks for posting this week.
