abc wednesday - M is for "marble"

Which is what this beautiful flowing "fabric"
is made of—in the Chiesa dei Gesuiti, in
Venice. Even in person, it's hard to believe
that this is actually stone.

  1. I totally agree with you, I remember being fooled and having to come as close as possible to be sure.
The best view for "marble" !

  2. You could have fooled me. It's truly amazing how a sculptor can do this.

  3. Oh my gosh. I was fooled, too. Are you sure????? {Kidding, I would never doubt you, Alexa!} How beautiful.

  4. Stunning workmanship. Just think how many hours it took to produce this - truly amazing.

  5. It totally looks like fabric! Are you sure you're not having us on just so you can put the M for Marble? ;)

  6. this is so cool. I am curious, did they paint the fabric's design over the marble? & can anyone actually stand or sit inside this too?

  7. Incredible! The talent that some have is totally amazing! It does indeed look like real fabric! Terrific shot!

    Have a great day!

  8. I seriously doubt the craft to reproduce something like that is readily available today.
