Shadow Shot Sunday

Brunch at Cheryl's Global Soul, the
hippest restaurant in my neighborhood.
(I just checked out that link to discover
Cheryl was featured on the Food Network
with Sara Moulton who—what a coincidence—
bought the loft my ex-husband and I built
from scratch in Chelsea.)  Is that one degree
of separation or two?

  2. If that is your ex, Steve, sitting there, it might be no degree of separation at all at the moment.

Just checked out Cheryl’s menu and wish I wasn’t separated so geographically. Those breakfasts would be worth getting up before noon for. And “cookies that will change your life.” I have faith in Cheryl. I know it can happen. In a single bite I can go from this to this, absolutely. Or even better, the reverse.

Must agree with Marylène. It can be quite a small world. I have scars on my forehead from low doorways to prove it.

  3. Ha, ha to Tall Gary. I love his comments.

This looks like a fun place and yummy. I checked out the site. Let's eat there next time I'm in Brooklyn, okay?

  4. Lovely warm fall of light and sharp shadow on the wooden wall seems to create a softness around the figure hunched over the table! Lovely photo!

  6. Bibi (& Marylene) -- next time, oui!
TG -- so NOT the ex—and Cheryl will give you the watermelon salad off her plate (ask me how I know).
Hey, Harriet -- it is! And TG almost always comes along to make my day with an LOL comment—lucky me.
