abc wednesday - Q is for "quiet"

Yes, there are some bucolic places
in the big city where you can find peace and quiet.
This one is the little garden hidden behind the
church of St. Luke in the Fields, in the West Village
(which began as the "country" parish connected
to Trinity church way downtown at Wall and Broadway).
I know about it because my kids went
to school here for 10 years.

  3. That’s such a nice spot on the kind of sunny day we see in your photo.

Looks like there might enough buildings and walls surrounding your secret garden to muffle a lot of the traffic noise. If only that rude bleating wasn’t so loud.

  5. "Quiet" is a recurring theme this week. I wonder what that says about the human condition these days?

On behalf of the ABC Wednesday team, thank you! - ROG

  6. We have a nice secluded garden in the city centre behind the Quaker Meeting House.. You're right, it's unexpected but so welcome!

I love your picture. It looks very inviting!

  8. Hello Alexa,
It is amazing to think you took the picture of this secret garden in New York (for it is NY, or am I wrong ?)
As Marylène said that could have been photographed somewhere in French country where I am living. :o)
