I thought these five dogs were all
related to the hound of the Baskervilles,
but the kids in the park came running
as if the dogs' owner was the Pied Piper.
(including my daughter Katie, who says
"If you're gonna get a dog, get a DOG!").
She meant, a real dog...not one of those rat-looking thing. :-)

Ming -- Yes, they sure are! And that's why Katie loves them and had to go over to pet each and every one of them. (P.S. -- I have 2 cats (one of which is actually Katie's, go figure.)
ReplyDeleteWhen I was very much a toddling toddler, our neighbor's German shepherd "bonded" with me, and was frequently out loose in the front yards. One time, I started teetering toward the street, and my mom rushed to retrieve me, but the dog (gulp) rushed to 'protect' me from my mom by coming between us! She had a talk with the neighbors.

ReplyDeleteI'm amazed at how the dogwalker can handle this many "pups" at one time. I have enough trouble walking myself, my toddler (under two), and my 6 yr old Bichon in the park across the street from our house.
ReplyDeleteUS E...I guess that dog was really attached to you, or couldn't distinguish between a speeding motorist and a racing mother. That said, I have trouble with mothers who speed...or is that "mothas"?

ReplyDeletecoltrane -- btw, these dogs were unbelievably well behaved. At one point their owner took them all off their leashes, lined them up and told them to sit, and that is precisely—and only—what they did for about the next four or five minutes. I guess he has to have them well-trained; he shares an apartment with all of them. (I don't believe what you say, though, because you have to be able to 4 different things with 4 different limbs to play the drums.)
