the GW

Went to New Jersey; crossed this swell bridge, the
4th-largest suspension bridge in the country. Two
levels, no waiting (a total lie—you never just sail
across this one, especially during rush hour).

  1. Being thematic I'll say this is one "riveting" photo. Millions of rivets and bolts no doubt. You see, this is what happens when you let the kids play with Erector Sets. They build double-decker Erector Set bridges like this one. Alexa, I left a thanks on yesterday's post re: the Gretsch building. I had forgotten it was near the Williamsburg Bridge.

  2. Very funny -- actually, 2 million plus is what I hear. My brother had an Erector Set, and he would never let me play with it. Have I been harboring resentment for more than half a century? You bet!
