Had a big discussion about it today, and thought
of this photo—taken by my daughter Katie in
Greenland. This is part of the glacier, i.e., THE glacier—
the one that if it melts, my house will be sitting on the
seabed. Katie said they stood there and watched
all that ice fall off in just an hour or so.
So how's YOUR carbon imprint?
OMG!
ReplyDeleteAh ! Kyoto ! Kyoto ! Kyoto !
ReplyDeleteJust a few more signatures and we would be changing things right now !!!! If it is not already too late.
Marylène: I hope it's not too late.
ReplyDeleteAlexa: impressive and scary photo.
I also truly hope it is not too late.
ReplyDeleteBut what is known is that, even if the whole word started to act properly today, the warming would still continue for decades with all the consequences we already face and, after a while, would slow down and stop.
And that is scary too !!
I agree that this is a very frightening photo. Not that many people get to see this in person. And I wish with you that it's not too late already!
ReplyDeleteI'm the sort that is convinced it's too late. But I'm also the sort that believes in trying to do the right thing anyway. My heart breaks for people with children. There will be suffering.
