Yesterday I showed you some Parisian window dresser's version of Santa. Now here's my idea of a real Santa (though some small children did cry when they were parked on his lap). {BTW, I've used this X word in a previous Christmastime post—and explained why I think "Xmas" is okay.} Hope all of you who are celebrating today are having a wonderful holiday! He definitely looks like the real Santa, even reminiscent of Miracle on 34th Street's Santa. (I must make a note to watch that this season.) Love the bells on his hand.
ReplyDeleteAlso, you probably know the X in Xmas really stands for the Greek word (or for that matter, the Serbian word, too) for Christ, so it's okay to use it! I do and did in my post, too! Merry Christmas/Xmas to you and yours.
This is a perfect photo for today. After last night, Father Christmas deserves a rest. Happy Holiday to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteXmas certainly is fine and a merry one to you!
ReplyDeleteHe's a classic Santa!
ReplyDeleteHappy holidays to you and yours!
I actually wrote about how and why X-mas is acceptable and although, I'm late, hope your Christmas was wonderful.
