The challenge—choose one image that says "Venice" to me. Have to say, this comes close: The campanile of San Marco, reflected in the aqua alta that flooded Piazza San Marco each day I was there last month. [See more abc wednesday /here.]
If it weren’t for the lines of the underwater paving stones I would assume that the image had been brushed by a talented painter. You are an artist with a camera, Alexa.
I love this photo! So creative! What were the dates of your visit to Florence? I was there in early November (different year) and we had no rain and no flooding. When we came back we were told how unusual this was.... but when we were there we did not realize it.
What a beautiful photo, Alexa!! Wonderful!
