Mellow Yellow Monday

Welcome to Broadway! Like most people who
live in New York, I hardly ever make it to
the theater—but the show I'd love to see right now
is the one just down the street: Billy Elliot.

[See more Mellow Yellow here.]

  1. Alexa, I just saw Billy Elliot last month! I thought it was very good. Have you ever used I was able to get a pretty good discount through them.
If I had to do it again I would have waited for a closer more central seat. We were sitting on the left side in the last row of the first mezzanine. I would at least try for front and center mezzanine.
I hope you are doing something relaxing today!

  2. I loved the film, and can only imagine how good the show must be.

  3. Although I saw Wicked on Bway 6 or 7 times I have not been back to NYC for two years and there is a whole 'nother crop of fabulous shows. Billy Elliot would be at the top of my list!

  4. I loved the movie! It sounds like Lily has some great tips for you if you decide to make it to this one.

  5. I haven't been to NY in about 15 years though I've traveled the world over. Since massive SF budget cuts ended my 21 year job as a forensic nurse with the city and my income plummeted over $90,000 annually, I'm hardly able to afford a Netflix movie. Times are pretty scary!

At 65, I've done it! My poetry book - Life's Journey by Carmen Henesy - is out on Amazon! ( Poems about the things that have been important to me in my journey through life, some humorous, some sad, some that may have meaning to you as well ) ( Go to the site and click on reviews to see what folks think about my book! )

  6. Another thing to put on my ToDo for the next time I succeed in going to NYC !

  7. Well, its my first visit, nice post. I am in Maine and wish
    I was in NYC.
    All great things to do.
I miss it. I am going to aa wedding on Long Island in Dec
so maybe I can work some fun things in. Stop over sometime.

Thanks, merci, grazie, danke, hvala, gracias, spasibo, shukran, dhanyavaad, salamat, arigato, and muito obrigado for your much-appreciated comments.
