This is in fact just part of the common(?) view from my ex's apt. Unfortunately, they've torn down a short 19th-century bldg. right across the street and who knows how tall its 21st-century replacement will be. He can probably count on losing this part of his wonderful view, though. And yes, I count 14 too (the entire view from this window probably takes in 60 or 70).
Watertowers? Too many for my brain to count I'm afraid. I can imagine the sounds of a trumpet or sax player practicing somewhere in these digs. A great NYC shot!
I love the backsides of buildings and cityscapes. We don't have the tall buildings requiring this innovation.
ReplyDeleteTo some people this view would be as common as looking out the window.
ReplyDeleteMe? I've never seen anything like it before. It's like looking into the 19th century with just a few touches from the 20th and 21st.
You continually show me things about the East Coast I couldn't imagine, Alexa.
USElaine: I, as well, have been rather fond of a few backsides in my (long past) day.
So, 14? There are two up there on the top right.
