Happy Halloween

Each year my daughter Katie has a
pumpkin-carving party, where everyone
has a good time and goes home
with their own jack-o'-lantern masterpiece.
(I just stopped by for wine and photo ops.)

  1. Why am I so sure the wine was from Three Lakes Winery?

Was that a pumpkin-carving party, or a having-spent-a-week-carving-a-pumpkin-and-then-bringing-it-to the party? The figurative pieces are knockouts. I also like the abstract and minimalist-geometric-expressionist pumpkins. It must be nice these days to be able to light them with LEDs without having to worry about “melting” them with candles.

    1. All this carving was done at the party. And somehow, combining wine, etc. and carving utensils produced not one injury!

  2. Very creative. Tall Gary's right about the LED lights, but I still use a small votive candle...actually lots of them as the days go by...

  5. Those are wonderful! I'm amazed at what some people can do with a pumpkin and a carving knife!
    Happy Halloween!

  7. Oh, wow !!! Now, that's spectacular - I'm trying to imagine having that kind of dexterity with a blade and a pumpkin ... it's not a happy mental picture. :)
