The Weekend in Black and White

Low tide under the Oceancrest Pier, on Oak Island, NC.
The water was very warm, yet I encountered few
people—and, fortunately, no sharks (they've been a
problem in the near-shore waters off the
Carolinas this past summer).

  1. Amazing B&W picture! I like the vertical composition, the lines, the symmetry and a good creation of depht.
Visiting from The Weekend in B&W, Hilde

  2. I love this! Beautiful lines and light.

  3. Your second TWiBaB of Oceancrest Pier. The far end of the pier looks, to me, like a church nave. Unlike the painstaking restoration work necessary to view shining stars at certain Brooklyn naves (Grace Church), here, at night, you merely need to glance, or take a step or two, to the left or right.

    1. Are you clairvoyant, TG? See tomorrow's post before you answer.

  4. I love this view! And it makes a gorgeous shot in the B&W. I'm glad the munchies stayed away so you were able to enjoy it, ma chere !!

Thanks, merci, grazie, danke, hvala, gracias, spasibo, shukran, dhanyavaad, salamat, arigato, and muito obrigado for your much-appreciated comments.
