They're getting rid of it sometime in early April, so make like Dorothy Hamill (or Scott Hamilton) while you can. Used to skate here when I was 4 (!), under the watchful gaze of Prometheus. And do (or did?) you skate?
Never skated before. Now I'm too old and clumsy to try. :-)
To answer your question, I do have an external hard drive so I back up my office and home laptop every 3-4 months or so.
I am also much better at deleting 'bad' photos now than I was when I started. But there are still a lot of 'junk' that need to be edited off the hard drive.
The 1963 comedy, “Sunday in New York” introduced me to the ice skating at Rockefeller Plaza. It seemed like the big time in the big city to me, intimidating, I mean after all—New York!
When I was about 30 I rented a pair of skates somewhere along the beach in Santa Barbara when I decided suddenly one day that I was going to learn. For 30 minutes I must have looked like a couple of jitterbugging windmills trying to mate while undergoing continual demolition. Then I realized it’s all a matter of pushing out to the side. Never learned to stop though. Simply searched for grass to fly spread-eagled onto. That was that.
I’m with Ming about the age now. Plus it's a long way to fall for me. And fall I would. But wait. PHX-Lynn just gave me an idea from when she was talking about riot police. I could go out on the ice dressed like this.
LOL, that should do the trick, Tall Gary! I won't speak for Alexa but I'm low enough to the ground that falling over doesn't smart quite so much. {There have to be some perks for being short.} I was a fair rollerskater once upon a time but when I grew out of my pretty white skating boots, I lost interest. Only tried iceskating once but found a world of difference between one blade and two pairs of wheels. And I was petrified that I'd fall and someone would chop my fingers off. But I'd be brave and try it if I was there!
Nope, don't skate at all, neither on wheels or blades. But my great aunt used to take me here when I visited her in NYC--to the restaurant---still there?
