This photo was taken by my daughter Katie, when she was up in Alaska. If I had been hiking in the wilds and come upon fresh evidence of a bear in the vicinity, I might stop to take a picture. Oh, who am I kidding? Of course I'd take a picture. But then I'd be beating a very hasty retreat—which she did not! [To see more ABC Wednesday posts for the letter T, go here.] |
From an artistic standpoint I love the bear paw prints. The black core with the grey outlines within the grey-gradationed depression. From a safety standpoint I’m with you. I would high-tail it out of there pronto. Bears can be unpredictably violent. But! (Or is that “butt”?) Katie emerged from her peregrinations unscathed, so “Nanner nanner” on us.
ReplyDeleteAs a pre-teen I shocked a neighbor girl. I said, “Let’s play zoo. You go bear (bare) and I’ll go ape.” And what did I get for my efforts? “GaaAAarryiE!”
Exactly what you deserved!
DeleteInteresting, but I would have been running in the other direction!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!

I'd be running! LOL
ReplyDeleteLook both ways before running!

Almost like a smiley face although possibly best not to trust a bear's temperament from its tracks.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the bear's been gone a while, thankfully. Just read today where a man was mauled and killed by a black bear in New Jersey. I don't usually associate NJ with bears.
