The Weekend in Black and White

Most of the crypts in Père Lachaise
Cemetery are stone or metal, so this one
made of glass stands out—especially when
the sunlight hits it a certain way.

  1. Ultra-modern Gothic. Ethereally spooky even in daylight. Although your masterful B&W contributed to the effect.

I wonder how they keep it so clean. You might think the roof would be opaque from bird droppings. But, along with transparent DOORS like that I guess there are those around who have a vested interest in maintaining its appearance as a veritable CRYSTAL SHIP.

  2. Really unusual. You've caught a delightful light.

  3. Great light and composition in your b&w shot.

  4. Wonderful in B&W! Great light and perspective!

  5. Very unique and I love the dramatic effect of the black and white.
