Weekend in Black and White

There are a few do's and dont's you need to follow when
you visit the Galapagos Islands:  Don't touch the animals,
no matter how friendly they may seem to be; stay with
your guide; and don't leave anything or take anything away.
When I travel, I tend to come home with a few "free" souvenirs—
rocks, shells, pressed flowers—but on this trip, I stuck to photos.

  1. I would find not taking anything a hard rule to follow since I love shells and rocks - but given the circumstances, it is a harder rule to break!

  2. If you had been quick about it no one may have noticed.

That is quite a grab bag of odds and ends you have there under the sea-urchin bagel: cylindrical beads pierced by holes through their centers; sea shells in various degrees of weathering; scoria; and if anyone ever asks you for an autographed 8 X 10 glossy of this image, you have on the left, just waiting for your signature, that dotted line.

  3. Photos sound like the environmentally responsible solution to souvenirs, Alexa. And easier for us to enjoy. {How selfish of me!} Take care, ma chère.
