I try to be grateful for the big and the small things,
and today I'm thankful that my sister-in-law is cooking
our favorite meal of the year, my brother is carving the turkey, my kids are with me, my mom made it through the storm even if her house didn't,
and we're all together. Happy Thanksgiving!

Oh, this little guy is so cute!!! I'm thankful for my beautiful family and friends like you, dear Alexa. {Sorry to hear about your mom's house.} Sounds like you had a very beautiful day. Happy Thanksgiving, ma chère.
ReplyDeleteThat is just about the coolest turkey I have ever seen. I grinned ear to ear when I first saw it. Is that a thread spool as body? I like the hints of a wattle. And I’m a spiral person from way back.
ReplyDeleteAlso , as with Shell, I’m relieved to hear about your mother’s making it through, but distressed at the loss of your family house.
Don’t worry about eating too much. You can always work it off later. This guide could be useful. (Is there such a thing as fast-paced yoga? Sounds kind of like speed zazen to me. Or tackle ping pong.)
I agree - great photo! Thank you for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out to your mom, I can't imagine how thankful you all are to be safe and together.
Happy Thanksgiving.
