I'll soon be on my way home from a place very different from this. It's great to get away, but I still love my daily commute across the Brooklyn Bridge.
I saw the eyes, too, Bibi. Kind of like a long-nosed baboon wearing false eyelashes.
Here, with a different viewpoint but maybe something like you had in mind, is a century-old photo of that wondrous construction taken by Karl Struss in 1912.
Although it is less archaic, I have the feeling that Alexa may have traded one suspension bridge for another.
That is one stunning image...,like an old black and white master's photo. The shapes on the top look like stylized eyes.

I just noticed Alexa’s note about Mindo from yesterday, so this might be more apropos.
ReplyDeleteAnd Archipiélago de Colón! Brings back a wave of nostalgia for a favorite old TV show, the tongue-trippingly mellifluous: Hopalong Galapagos
Great capture!
ReplyDeleteI love all those lines and patterns, but particularly the way everything on the bridge fades into the distance like a dream through reality.
ReplyDeleteLove the way you framed this! And it's magnificent in black & white!.
