Skywatch Friday

I was In Quito last week—and was
treated to a memorable evening sky.

  1. Hey Alexa! welcome home! how great it is to get away. hope you are feeling refreshed.
I'm a little behind in my old blogger world. It's good to see you are still around.
    : )

  2. Extinguishing in ashes, the dying embers of the day.

The brightness at the horizon. The pinpoint lights against the black-velvet city. And those moving clouds as if (to mix metaphors) painlessly abrading themselves across the mountain peaks. Such impact for such few scumbled crumbles of red! Pure visual poetry and you a poet of the camera, Alexa.

Hi there, Lily Hydrangea! I have been thinking of you on occasion recently. Glad you are alive and well.

  3. Speaking of the night sky, here is a surprising view of the Milky Way from the surface of Mars.

  4. Whow Alexa! This is such a beautiful travel!

Thanks, merci, grazie, danke, hvala, gracias, spasibo, shukran, dhanyavaad, salamat, arigato, and muito obrigado for your much-appreciated comments.
