Little Drummer Boy

I took this shot one Easter Sunday in
Florence.  I think this young Florentine is just
gorgeous (as so many Florentines are)—

and I love those Easter "bonnets."

[Today is Ruby Tuesday. To

  1. Candy stripers of a different sort. He indeed has a classic face that would have so pleased some painters. Good shot.

  2. He is, they are, and unfortunately I now feel like a florentine of the edible variety. I'd head to the kitchen and make some but I'm fresh out of all necessary ingredients aside from dark cooking chocolate. You can tell it's nearly afternoon tea time for me, Alexa!

  3. Wonderful photo; love the expressions on their faces. And, of course, their drumming costumes.

  4. Above comments made me grin.

With such ear and eye spectaculars it is almost as if Lo Scoppio del Carro a Firenze might be anti-climatic. My cochlea was craving a tickling of the drumstick tapping which led me to the link. Now my olfactory senses are craving a whiff of fireworks gunpowder smoke. That is quite a tasty visual morsel you shared with us, Alexa. Now, Shell Sherree has other of my senses paws up and begging in that direction.
