starting to turn

Not quite "leaf-peeping" season here
in Brooklyn yet.  (Usually, I
just wake up one morning to find
that it's happened overnight.)
This tree, however, has decided to go
from green to gold in patches.

  2. I love the colourd of Autumn. I have a long wait for it to come here. Nice shot with the sun through the leaves.

  3. It’s almost as if, rather than just individual leaves being affected, the entire tree had some kind of mosaic virus. Whatever. Your photo is a mosaic of brilliance.

I can’t look at scenes of the sun shining through tree leaves without thinking of those woodsman’s scenes in Rashomon. I believe I have mentioned that before.

Considering how Liz Needle’s seasons are reversed in Australia we can understand her “wait” for the colours of Autumn.

  4. I really miss the fall colors in 'your neck of the woods'. Not nearly as jaw-dropping here.

  7. I love when the leaves start to shift... That's when it officially starts to feel like autumn I think. Love the light in this picture.
