inSPIREd Sunday


I took this shot of the spires St. Patrick's Cathedral 

the day before Pope Francis arrived.  Already 
there were barricades set up along the length of this 
block (and many others)—24 hours later, I 

would not have braved the crowds.

  3. Those patches of direct sunlight made me think of summer for some reason. Googling the weather I saw that, on the day you took the photograph, it was 80ºF (27ºC) in NY. So now I look at this as, both visually and conceptually, full of that warm, summery softness.
