Shadow Shot Sunday

Took advantage of time off on MLK Jr. Day
to spend a few hours in the Museum of Modern Art
—I always like this part of the museum that
features wonderfully designed objects of all kinds,
including this chaise that also throws some sharp shadows.

  1. Definitely nice lines/patterns. But don't sit there when wearing shorts! Unless you like legs with the same pattern.

  5. Museums are great places for shadows. Unfortunately, not all museums will let visitors take pictures!

    BOOKISH SHADOWS

    Darksome shadows in my path,
    You are not the Grapes of Wrath;

    And yet when I hear your hums,
    Something Wicked This Way Comes!

    May your darkness turn to light
    Like The House of Mirth, all right?

    May all sadness drift away—
    Send Lolita here to play!

  7. I wonder how comfortable that would be? It certainly makes great shadows, though!

  9. super photo .. but that chair doesn't look very comfortable, does it? and for what it probably cost, you wouldn't want to sit on it anyway!
