Well, it was my world for a few days this month. This is Bernini's famous 1651 fountain of the Quattro Fiume, in Rome's Piazza Navona—with representations of a river for each of the continents known at the time. This one is the Danube. [See more of the world here.] |
the water looks like a beautiful sea green - was it warm in Rome?
ReplyDeleteThree Coins in the Fountain, right? I saw that movie when I was a kid, and hummed/sang the song for ages. Beautiful fountain and water.....
ReplyDeleteI am as green as the water in that fountain with envy at your few days....
ReplyDeleteI was in the exact same location recently. I found taking pictures of the fountain with the crowds very challenging! You did a fabulous job not only with the clarity but capturing the true bright colours I remember. Thanks for sharing this part of your journey. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for this amazing view and the great memories it brings to my mind!
ReplyDeleteGreat composition. Beautiful color in the water.
